*sigh* Now I have the millionth reason I wish Bowie was still around. He’d have something witty to say, I’m sure. After all he shot the cover of The Man Who Sold the World, nearly 50 years ago.

Gotta be the hamburger in “Better off Dead.”

Great list! I love Tiny Cities Made of Ashes, but I think 3rd Planet just edges it out. As for At the Drive-In, their best tune of 2000 for me was Extracurricular.

I was similarly perplexed about the “Fuck and Run” reference.

This list needs more Gojira.

Any list of classic black-and-white films that does not include at least one of Duck Soup (1932), A Night at the Opera (1935), or A Day at the Races (1938) is a list that is a criminal exclusion of the greatest stars of the black-and-white era (that first is my favorite film of all time.)

There are better songs you could’ve picked to make your point. Fuck and Run is not “about 12 year olds having sex”.

I think that’s the one thing I’ve read on Lifehacker that was actually useful. Still not a “hack” though!

“The government has no place in telling a private business how it should conduct itself. It should be allowed to enforce its policies and meet the demands of a free and open market”

Oh, so we have a Fajita Felicia now?

Thin blue whine.

He got all that money from saving a girl from drowning, then spent it hiring Van Halen to play a party.

What happens when Atlanta notices it doesn't need that many cops?

“That was weird.”

Or just... Pull over, do what you need to do, then get back to driving. Not that hard really.

KOMBATANT: Nigel Tufnel

Id also like to throw a massive fucking shout out to Roll20, where you can digitally manage and play just about anything tabletop (so, like D&D and such). My group was in the middle of a Christmas special that had stretched onto March, and this let us keep it going.

They also have regionalized Aurora Borealis if you're lucky.

Happy anniversary! Our 3 year is on Saturday and my oh my...our plans are exactly like yours! I’ll make dinner and we’ll watch Homeland and drink wine. The one thing we are able to do is have our bottle of Veuve Cliquot, which started as a tradition at our wedding since a bottle of that was his gift to me. We have had

Just a quick mention of PBS Passport. $5 a month, and you get all things PBS.

If you dig documentaries, and fancy performances, its a good get.
