I still see the characters as their own entities for the sake of suspension of disbelief and so on, but if something stupid like this comes up, that’s when I abandon ship and start blaming writers and artists.

Yes, exactly. If they at least acted seductive or something, or it was balanced out as a fashion across the entire in-game world, I wouldn’t care.

Personally, I don’t mind a character that expresses or displays their sexuality. It’s just when a character is pretty obviously not sexual as an aspect of their regular personality that stuff like this starts to look really, really stupid to me.
