I know that’s a oft stated quote, but faster framerates aren’t always better! I’m an animator by trade and 60 fps has a jarring clarity that doesn’t mimic natural perception very well.
I’ve got a pretty high end gaming pc but i always framelock at 30 fps unless its a shooter. For games like the Witcher, 30 fps just feels more cinematic to me. 60 feels uncanny and takes me out of the game world too much.
Sure McQueen drove with a broken foot, but it was Peter Revson who did most of the driving to 2nd place. Mario Andretti won, and said he drove more aggressively because the announcer kept saying McQueen was in the car when he knew it was Revson.
There are certainly better Hollywood detective films than Bullitt. LA Confidential, Mystic River, The Departed, Heat (mentioned in the review) all come to mind.
I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that owning a bunch of nice cars does not make someone not boring.
Someone needs to give the AV Club nerds wedgies for spouting their Film 101 nonsense.
This movie is 100% hot garbage. Thank god someone is finally saying it.
You forgot “true”.
I saw this in the theater in ‘68 or ‘69. It was slow and boring then. We snuck back in a couple times to see the car chase.
Fuck yes I did. When I graduated high school in ‘99 I got a 1995 3000GT, the naturally aspirated version, with a dark grey leather interior that was only available in the SL model (which mine wasn’t, but the previous owner had it installed) and Epic Impeller 16" chrome rims. I kept it shiny as fuck all day, every day.…
I’m from Nairobi, Kenya. I grew up being told if I wanted to talk to any elder, you refer to them as auntie or uncle. It was years before I learned it had anything to do with people being related to you.
Except the parents don’t seem to have any first hand knowledge of the alleged crimes. From what was stated the DA is looking for E Harmony profile information. As far as the possible fake “alibi” seems to be rather loaded. Since he would know the dates he was out killing people if that was the case and they would know…
I think Klaue having a mixtape on SoundCloud got me the hardest.
Really, because everyone in my cinema laughed at “What are THOOOOOSE” and “like an antelope in the headlights” at the very least.
There are several moments of explicit humor. “Did he freeze?”, Sound Cloud (and Klaue in general), “Don’t scare me, colonizer!”, M’Baku’s vegetarian joke, others. It wasn’t a comedy, but there was definitely some quality jokes.
I could be wrong, but people in some parts of Africa call all dudes “uncle” and all ladies “aunt/auntie”. Or at least lots of dudes and ladies. My brain wants to say its a Nigerian thing, but again, I could be mistaken.
... and your point? He was also JROTC and owned the gun legally. Until he shot up the school and all that came out you would have welcomed him as one of your ilk because he too fetishized weapons.
Because gun control is not just about nomenclature. Instead of dismissing an entire discussion because one participant says a term slightly wrong doesn’t make for much of a productive conversation. An other option would be to maybe clarify with them exactly what they mean, so the discussion can continue. Or do you…
Depends on the crime. Sorry, I’m not a law & order chick, but I am a right & wrong bitch for real. If my adult child were to cause significant harm to someone who was undeserving of it; they had better turn themselves in & make a deal, because that would be better than dealing with me.
