1. Better cops - Improved screening for mental health and behavioral issues, review of past affiliations (white supremacist groups, for example), and an end to favoritism given to ex-military that automatically moves them to the top of the list.
The collective outrage these generate on social media really do remind me of the two minutes of hate. Twitter was bad before. In a pandemic is fucking poison on people’s minds. As a general rule of thumb anything I see on social media I assume is misleading in some way, ESPECIALLY if it confirms my preconceived biases.
I think the “others might not be cautious, so you should be” message is a good one. It’s true. People cannot be trusted to behave rationally and you have to factor that into your risk assessment of your own behavior. Even if everyone on that boardwalk is six feet apart, that’s still a lot of people. It’s a lot of…
It’s fine. It’s easier than butter and crisps the bread well. What is it with you people and making these grand, unsupported statements, and acting like you’re doing something profound?
See I LIKE the many versions of the same thing, because if you compare and contrast a few, you get an idea of what each ingredient/method brings to the table. But yes, it can be a lot.
Yeah, it’s especially annoying when you’ve got a recipe up on your phone and have to deal with pages of scrolling to get to the actual instructions and ingredients.
You know what I like about AllRecipe - it gives you the recipe. I don’t have to scroll for 3 days past a novella about how the recipe changed your families life, made you the hero of every social function ever, and retroactively won World War I. Just give me the bloody recipe (or give it first, then write your magnum…
Yeah, and if it is piss I wipe off with toilet paper and sit down. If it’s shit, I move stalls. My ass isn’t gonna to catch nothing.
Just wipe down the goddamn toilet seat. Provided you don’t have an open sore and you do have a functioning immune system, your body can handle those weak-ass microbes.
I can’t believe what a bunch of nerds we are. We’re looking up “money laundering” on Lifehacker.
To be honest had Manafort not joined the Trump election effort, he’d likely be still getting away with it. The most important element in committing crime on an ongoing basis is never raising the suspicions of anyone with any authority to look into your claims. As long as no one wonders, no one cares, no one looks and…
Holy shit, even that list of boring players was boring.
Goddammit, surely Joe Flacco is at least elite as a top 20 boring athlete?
I agree that luck is random, but I look at this list as things you can do to increase your chances of beneficial things happening to you.
thanks for reading it anyway!
Great list. I believe appreciation is key and goes untended quite often.
I was waiting for someone to call me out on this.
“25% of a Group Can Change Everyone’s Behavior”
25%? Tipping point?
