Ah, I wasn't aware of tournaments using retired cards. I've only ever heard or seen the tournaments using active sets.

Magic card prices confuse me. They are out of play so they are useless, so why pay that much for a single card unless you are just going to put them on display as art.

The average time played is ten hours for everyone that has played halo 5. That's not even completing the campaign and never touching it again. For a flagship franchise I'm sure they want that number to be much higher.

We have similar setups it seems. Graphics card is my weak point too, but never worried too much about it since it plays what I play at max settings.

If they asked everyone to remove headgear like they do at FSU games to make sure nothing is going on I don't see a problem here. If they singled these men out because of their head gear it's a problem.
