Barbossa!
Barbossa!
An all-time classic.
The supposed "Best Fans in Baseball" got exposed for the frauds they are when Pujols bolted to the Angels. Nothing but hate for a guy who carried a bunch of scrubs for a decade. This was before the Cards farm system became one of the best in the game.
It's always nice to see these kinds of things. I'm almost in my 30's and I'd love to get a ball at a game. The Giants kid showed a lot of maturity and kindness, and in the end he got rewarded for it, as he should have. Great job!
That was incredible, and made my evening.
I watched that tape SO MUCH as a kid. Still love it.
I remember how ANGRY everyone was at him at that time. Randall Simon was just messing around and everyone flipped their shit. Also of note, and I forgot where I read/heard this, but during the first series at Milwaukee after he was traded to the Cubs (along with Kenny Lofton and Aramis Ramirez), Simon actually bought…
As a Blackhawks fan, it's kind of embarrassing to see my fellow fans (or, possibly, "fans") get all mad because Deadspin has happened to feature more articles on the Bruins than the Hawks during this series.
Sergio Romo videobombing Amy Gutierrez is a thing.
Another boxer who urged his opponent to fight and is knocked out.
Amazing. +1, well deserved

I know what you're getting at, I definitely prefer to hit my way on as well. But if the guy is throwing pitches a foot in the dirt in front of me or at head-level, I'm not gonna swing. I'll swing at bad (but hittable) pitches, but I'm not going to make an easy out swinging at a junk ball that I won't be able to do…
I take pitches and work counts, but that's because I'm a slap-single hitter. Since I hit for zero power, I take walks because when I swing the bat, 95% of the time when I get a hit it's like taking a walk anyway.
I was talking to a cute girl I work with the other day about formal introductions. She pointed out how I never actually introduced myself to her at any point. I'd seen her around for months and just knew her via association of other co-workers. Anyhow, my point being: what is the window for introducing yourself to…
Completely weak use of my one dunk, but mine would win Game 7 of the NBA Finals. What a GLOREE BOY moment for me!
Look, the ball even lands with the print facing out. Truly impressive.
Re: Facebook and deceased family members:
Does Spike Lee even DO anything these days besides go to Knicks games? I seriously haven't heard anything about him from a directing/movie standpoint in years.
It looks like we know who taught Brady how to throw a deep ball
