I just don't see the point. What if there's a dystopian future where men are overwhelmingly the rape victims of women? The entire culture has systemically found ways to blame it on the men for the way they dress or the part of town they walked through?

It's okay. Even in your late 40's you can educate yourself about safe sex, birth control, talking to your potential partners to make sure you're on the same page as you. There are precautions you can take to make yourself safer from nutcases, but you can run into nutcases from any interaction.

While I have no opinion on this particular study, if people are getting tired of science stripping away at the concept of free will, things will only get worse. We're meat machines. There are myriad of non-sexual studies showing the ways our behavior is influenced outside of our conscious perception.
