Nomura is likely more responsible for the creation of the one black wing design for him that’s shown up in KH and the VII spinoffs. I think I’m more baffled by the awful retcons to explain that Sephiroth had that one black wing the whole time and the insistence of putting that design into every appearance he’s made…

It looked cool, but has the dumbest lore explanation to retcon him having it the whole time from spinoff material. I guess that sums up Sephiroth well. Looks cool at first, but is kinda ridiculous and dumb.
