Twitter in general just seems to be nothing but trouble, where all the world’s dumbest arguments are stupidly amplified.

The technology behind it — the ray tracing, animations, etc — are impressive features in of themselves.
So far I’ve changed my tune about Legends. Aside from the graphical tweaks being improved, I’m confident that this will be the freshest Pokemon title to date, with its changes to the underlying mechanics in and out of battle.
AA is always the first to go when optimizing games to run on ancient chip architectures.
Quite the read on Rockman Corner, though it was long apparent (to me, at least) that Keiji Inafune has always been more of an artist than a business man. He hasn’t really seen that much success after striking out on his own.
Well no, because this is an article specifically about new details on that other Mega Man game.
Organizations like Video Game History Foundation and the Internet Archive are preservationists. This guy? Hell no, he’s no preservationist. He was solely in the business of selling a distribution service. And a personal collection? Gonna have to call BS to that.
Before this trailer, I just wanted this dumb conspiracy to die, but I’ve changed my mind after all the rumors, delusions and fantastical hype had built up to literally nothing.
This is not a problem of transparency. Looking at the screenshot that was leaked, some of this confidential material might include some internally documented bugs in Intel/AMD architectures, which can lead to some nasty security exploits black hat groups can use.
Valve has been pretty clear they’re targeting 800p/30fps for the machine, so the PC benchmarking weirdos should dial back their expectations if they think it can rival their desktop PC in performance, much less at 4K.
Always wanted something in a small form factor like this, but the only options were in products of varying quality from Chinese companies, with next to no customer support. To try jumping into the latest batch of handheld PCs for $800+ is a hard sell. So to wake up one morning to see exactly what I was looking for,…
Just let it go, man. There’s not gonna be a Switch Pro, just whatever is going to replace the Switch platform, whenever that will be.
Looking at the specs, I’d say it should be able to go all the way up to some PS3 and Wii U, though I wouldn’t expect to play Red Dead Redemption on it.
I’m into it! It’s definitely more affordable than whatever similar form factor PC, like less than half the cost of what Chinese companies are pumping out.
That’s not really the main takeaway, here. They’re pretty sure just piling more people onto the problem isn’t going to solve it, hence this story.
In a perfect world where resources are infinite, sure, but I don’t think this is a problem you can brute force through with bodies alone.
Now that I know this, if I ever get this game, I will roll with this song 100% of the way.
Also, you gotta consider the playerbase for the Switch. It’s a system designed to appeal to just about anyone, but the bulk of its players are casuals and parents buying for their children; folks who typically wouldn’t know the difference between 1080p or 2160p.
Nintendo’s R&D is always doing something, but I doubt we’re seeing any spec bumps for the Switch. They can save 4K for their Nintendo Flip, or whatever they’ll call their Switch successor.
This is why y’all need to be more skeptical with every rumor you see. If you’re disappointed because you really thought Nintendo was going to cram DLSS in their Switch, you had this coming. But as soon as the same Bloomberg reporter makes the same story every year, everyone forgets.
