I remember when the book came out, King was doing press for it and the key messaging was that he originally didn’t want to publish it because it even scared him too much, that it was the most straight-forward horror he’d done. I had read everything King up until then, and I would have to agree. With most King

This was one of three movies I saw way to young and had nightmares for a week. I think about revisiting it now that I’m slightly less impressionable, but my youngest son is three and my older daughter is nine, making both this and the remake pretty much entirely off-limits for me.

“We’re Americans.”

When the doppelgangers have the Wilsons cornered on the couch, and Red is sizing them up with wide eyes... You don’t know until the end that she was marvelling at how great her kids would have turned out.

Give me a Korg, Luis, and Happy buddy comedy. NOW.

He had to go home to print enough pamphlets about the end game.

The only way it could be better is if there’s a battlefield of broken and bloodied Avengers, and Squirrel Girl drags a defeated Thanos off screen while quipping “I got Thanos for you. My only thought about the whole “Hands Across America” thing is that it was one of the last things “real” Adelaide saw before she was captured, and so it was what she thought of when she had to come up with an action that would get nationwide attention. I’m not clear if there’s any more to it than a little girl’s last

I know two movies is a very short sample, but I feel confident in saying Peele proved he’s not a one trick poney, and his success with “Get Out” wasn’t begginer’s lucky. He’s an actual very talented director and writer, beyond any doubt at this point, because “Us” is even better than “Get Out”, at least in my opinion.

I’d hope so, that preview basically made it look like the Kingdom rolled over.

Maybe they were really serious Cinephiles

I’d watch it.

when the cat is floating—obviously it’s not real because a real cat can’t do that,

Did anyone else pick up a vibe that something might develop between Daryl & Connie?

All we need now is Godzilla v. Gamera and I can die relatively happy.

I’m really hoping you’re years older than the people who replied to you since the hype for Phantom Menace would be a pretty high bar.
