Isn’t it a kind of problem if Richie/Hader is stealing the show? I feel like the grown-up half of “It” is supposed to be focused on Bill, Beverly & Ben. ... I wonder if Richie gets Eddie’s fate from the book, and if that’s why he’s called scene-stealing.

Disney should offer Sony some character they don’t have plans for in exchange for taking Miles Morales in the MCU. Need a Spidey and Miles fits perfect with hopefully a future that includes the Champions.

It’s not overwhelming. It’s absolutely worth it, and not unfinishable. The books are not dense on dialogue or storytelling. BKV does a good job when reintroducing characters & plot points.

I’m here from the article about the 1-54 compendium being released. Didn’t want to do spoiler talk there.

I’m just here to cast a vote for Amber Midthunder to get as many awesome roles as possible moving forward, and not be stuck in TV roles or token supporting roles.

Excited, I think, for the Blu-ray release. I, too, was disappointed by the finale, but this series was still a nice achievement, especially “The Two Storms” episode, with masterful long takes that added to the episode and weren’t merely gimmicks. Wondering if the additions are going to be along the line of a little

If they want, the door is definitely still open for Zola to be Modok.

Have to think they’re just waiting for a good time to quietly announce that New Mutants won’t be released.

Old Fogey checks in with the episode of St. Elsewhere where Howie Mandel dies and discovers that God is ... Howie Mandel

Some folks are working really hard to get one of their The Three Investigators sets through the process. The junkyard hideout set is especially inspired.

I think the Unrevealed Alpaca is now my biggest lament in the entire MCU.

Can they give ABC Patsy Walker and let it create a different version than the one that appeared on Netflix. Kate Leth’s Hellcat provides a great template for a light network series, IMO.

ANNOUNCER’S VOICE: There is not.

It’s.

Yep. Cumberbatch knows how to pull off a death reaction. He hasn’t had a ton to do so far in the MCU, but I really love what he brings.

I disagree, from the acting perspective. It’s good stuff. But OTOH dwelling longer on the artificial green-screen landscape kind of makes its unreality stick out. Having the outdoor scenes at the cabin with little or no CGI are wonderful.

That’s a really fabulous scene. For me, Strange & Cap were especially poignant. I see why they cut it for pacing sake and because of its redundancy with the funeral.

Yes, but if you’re a 50+ unknown in Hollywood ... there’s a reason for that.

Love that Taskmaster is on the way. In some of the comics, Taskmaster is a bit of a hapless and perpetually exasperated villain, despite what should be a useful skills set. Looks like they’re going for a more competent version here.
