At least here at Cricket, the SIM is only used in LTE enabled devices, however standard 3G EVDO data doesn't work without one. Still have to flash to use Sprint devices on another CDMA network.

It looks to me like a secular private school. The prof has a really good rapport with the students and it reminded me a lot of the school I went to. At my old high school, teachers with a Masters or a PhD were addressed as "Dr." or "Professor"
