“2: There’s a lot of “Epic Moments” in there. And yeah, gasp, a trailer always has those thrilling moments, but it’s reminding me of Nerdwriter’s excellent video talking about how BvS (and Snyder’s work in general) is focused on those “Epic Moments”, but fails to really set those moments up enough, so they land with a…
It can’t be anywhere near the final cut yet. There are months of editing and post-production yet to come, and even tiny tweaks can make a huge difference.
Donner didn’t. He filmed a scene where Zod was led away after. That was taken out after he was given the heave-ho.
That’s exactly what it is. Granted, it may not have been as exciting a movie, watching a smart kid methodically work out just what is and isn’t possible, but it’s more like what I would do in the same situation so I enjoyed it much more.
“Jumper” is the first. “Reflex” is the next. “Griffin’s Story” was written to go along with the movie, and doesn’t connect to the other two. Still better than the movie :) but unlike the others, I’ve only read it once.
Gah...
I really, really hope the big cityscape thing is the Act Two action bit and we haven’t seen anything of Act 3. I’m already bored of the bending buildings and I haven’t seen the movie yet. And I want to love this movie.
I’ve already read “Crosstalk” (good, but read it as a light rom-com with science-fiction flavors or you’ll be disappointed) and I’ve got an advance copy of “Wall of Storms” waiting on me. Reviewers get books early.
I want a wide variety of books recommended as the good ones because my tastes may not match yours. Here we see some hard science, some epic fantasy, a graphic novel, several dystopian books, a police procedural...
So glad they’ve taken all this time to make Carol from being a fan-favorite to an unlikeable judge, jury and executioner just before they start trying to convince people to go see her movie.
I walked away from a lot of comics years back, but I still enjoy books with consistent creators and a beginning, middle and end.
I’m really looking forward to the middle of the new season of Flash, but I plan to grit my teeth and power through the new-revised-timeline-again-again first few episodes.
Were there no context, I would agree.
Puppies: “WHY AREN’T MANLY BOOKS WRITTEN BY MEN ABOUT MEN WINNING THE HUGOS? WE MUST FIGHT THIS!”
They’re supposed to be. The various Puppy groups, believing that a hidden cabal of SJWs was twisting the Hugos to their own nefarious were the ones to promote books of a specific type and mindset.
OK. I have been an avid reader for over 45 years and I can honestly and truly say that I have picked many a book off the shelves because the cover or title caught my eye. When I’m standing in a bookstore or library surrounded by many thousands of books, how else am I to begin selecting? More often I select based on…

In my case, Seveneyes got hurt because I only managed to get halfway through. Just didn’t work for me.
Why is pop culture steadily removing all its most well-known redheads?
