I only know this stuff because I am a Toyota dork. The ST185 did very well in WRC thanks to their "creative" use of the air inlet restrictor rules.

Contact flat six innovations and get the I.M.S. bearing upgrade done. Once the OEM bearing is removed you can use it as a paper weight and laugh knowing that you wont blow up the engine because of its achilles heal. They have a couple of other cool longevity uprgades. The I.M.S. is no joke, get it done.

I know, but if you were willing to spend the money for a Griggs strut front end (something like $3-4k, if I remember right), there's no way to make the Merkur handle nearly as well for that cost. Just a good illustration of the speed/dollar ratio for the Mustang.

If they're Primewll PS830's, I feel your pain. Worse tires I've ever had on a car. I bought the car with them on, and they're going in the trash tomorrow.
