I think the term “brick” is being used out of context lately. If the car was actually “bricked” then that means the whole car is no longer usable. This is not the case. It’s like saying the car is “bricked” because it has a flat tire and no spare was provided.
Really??? Your response is to attack the readers after losing two beloved writers, both of which had far more to do with the success of this site than you have? If you actually give a damn, read the comments. Why is it that so many people specifically mention how good Mercedes is in their comment? What is it about her…
this smug ass response is like the icing on the cake for me leaving. i was already out the door anyway, but i kept coming back for torch and tracy. but this attitude right here seems to be taking over the culture of the writers at jalopnik and i have to think it’s souring the taste of many who might still read this…
First, grow up. Millions of people read this site, if you want to stop, go with god.
If your first reaction is “Grow up” then you are missing the point. Here is an opportunity for you to step in and reassure the folks who frequent this site that while you are losing two unique voices, you have many more that are committed to continue on the tradition of what made Jalopnik great: unique and irreverent…
Better yet:
It’s not just David and Jason leaving man. It’s the broken comments system. It’s the constant listicles. It’s the lack of proof reading, the lazy reprints/links to other outlet’s articles, the ill advised hot takes like the “It’s okay people are robbing trains because they lost their jobs” article from a few weeks…
Fuck Off
Flying is stressful for everybody. Seeing someone potentially take down your plane and end your life? And you want them to be chill? Imagine dying at work. Now imagine that you could actually do something about it. Would you?
This is peak armchair quarterback. Great work!
Looks good on the right Ford; here is mine:
Not just Ford of Germany. My grandpa had a ‘74 Ford LTD of the same/similar color (similar to this photo courtesy of Hemmings):
Apparently the Chinese pilot doesn’t know the parking space snow rules in Chicago. If you dig out a space and put stuff in it, it’s yours. You just can’t push stuff out of the way and park there. Go dig out your own space and put a folding chair in it until you are ready to park!
As an engineer with a love of the internet, I’m shocked that the Ford engineers didn’t go with an easier solution.
Exhaust tip was the size of a trash can.
The thing with Challengers is the owners REALLY like them. It’s kind of the Tommy Bahama of cars.
I always thought the Challenger was the best looking of the three Pony cars
It’s a dealer option on XTS.
“I can’t imagine any carmaker trying to get away with something like this today”
Drivers who get behind the Valiant: not as cheery.
