Thanks for the thorough review. A good discussion and evaluation of key features. The battery life issue might be a make or break decision point for some buyers.

The problem with AoS is not its fights scenes. The show itself is not that compelling.

RE: It has little to nothing to do with the comic it’s adapting — which is probably good, since the show made a much more compelling story and characters.

RE: There’s some irony in that given he was once the gov of Tx.

I borrowed a quantum time jump machine and visited a parallel universe. Bernie Sanders lost there, in part because his support among Democrats was weaker than that for Clinton.

You have no point. Trying to tie Weinstein to Democrats is just stupid. But clearly the conservative talking point for now.

The sitting president of the United States is the P*ssy grabber in chief, and the Republican Party is his chief enabler and protector. And Fox News for decades has been Abuse of Women Central. But you want to focus on the Democrats? Sorry, that dog won’t hunt.

“equivocate?”

This is as stupid as the claims that America was innocent about oral sex until Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky did it in the White House.

Of course, part of the insanity of racism are the white people who claim that black people are not smart or successful, and then get enraged whenever they come across a black person who IS smart and successful. White racists cannot tolerate the idea of black achievement and will do everything they can to undermine it.

A few points.

Mehrsa Baradaran is right to a large degree about how black people have been excluded from equal economic participation, but the rest of the interview is incredibly superficial and historically deficient. And the insistence on the potential magic of reparations is just odd, and probably wrong.

Simply having people line up to “speak out” about Weinstein doesn’t really solve the problem.

Ok, let’s drop “satire” and just go with “stupid.”

A matter of taste. It took me time to warm to The Expanse. I had not read the novels, but heard what a great show it was.

It wasn’t just that the ticket buyers were male, they were older male. I have no idea how that compares to the Wonder Woman demographics, and in the end, I don’t really care. Studios should just make good movies, and acknowledge that not all of them will be a box office success.

Agree that the Expanse is a great show. But they’ve had more episodes to pull all the various strands of their story together.

I don’t have a problem with that. None at all. You keep or kill a character because it works for the story you are telling. They killed the main Klingon character early on and I am not entirely sure what ethnicity the actor was. Because it doesn’t matter. The “Discovery” cast is fairly diverse; it is interesting that

The original Trek timeline obviously doesn’t work any more. Best not to think about it.
