Only sort of, and poorly. Bluestacks kind of works sometimes, but it’s extremely laggy and crashes constantly. Many apps don’t work at all, and the emulated Plex app can’t find the Chromecast, making it useless for that purpose.

No, you can’t. If you know of some way to do that I’d be very interested to hear it. And casting your entire Chrome browser or desktop doesn’t count.
Can’t control Plex on a Chromecast from Windows.
But that would require both you and the other person to meet face to face and exchange a physical object. This device would allow one person to submit the data to the “offline storage”, and the other person to retrieve it at a later time (or even in a different physical location if the device were relocated), without…
So maybe you’re not the target audience for this device.
I think Thorin didn’t fully grasp the purpose of the setup, which is to allow device communication or file sharing without using the Internet or public networks at all. Most phones can’t do that.
It’s useful when you want to transmit data wirelessly in a place that doesn’t have wifi. Or, when you don’t want to use someone else’s network or even the Internet to do it. And if you need to transmit data on a completely isolated network, you probably also want to hide the fact that you’re doing it. You could…

Chickpeas and beets? That’s an interesting combo.
That poor, poor Impreza.

Glorifying stupidity for money is kind of the entire Gawker business model.
Man, why couldn’t episode 12 be the finale? We went from an episode with interesting character development, Android being awesome, and the crew coming together to celebrate a win, to... an hour spent misdirecting the audience while the crew fell apart and turned on each other once again. I get it, nobody on this ship…
Ah, so not a hoverboard in any sense of the word, even a little bit. Got it.
That was about the only thing I could think of too. These could make a decent wireless light switch, if nothing else. Maybe turn on a hard-to-reach ceiling fan?
It’s a show about how a homicidal cannibal messes with people who are either potential homicidal maniacs or people who are trying to catch both him and other homicidal maniacs (and in some cases, both). Violent and disgusting is kind of par for the course.
Is it supposed to look like a very boxy vampire with fangs?
Be honest, you just wanted to show off your new video card. ;)
Down.
