Back in college, our women’s soccer team averaged far more fans than the moderately successful men’s team because the atmosphere was awesome, the rivalries were sweet, and the team kicked ass.

Except that she really HAS been through a lot, and to discount her trauma and feelings just because you don’t like her music makes you look like a shitty person.

Agreed. I really like her songs and I am consistently impressed by her soundbite and interviews. I like that she is open about her mistakes and flaws and growing pains. I feel like the negative comments are knee jerk reactions to her fame and popularity. 

I just celebrated the 4 year anniversary of her "I hate America" donut shop fiasco! It feels so long ago but she was really ahead of the curve on that one. It's like she knew where this country was headed!
