Nah they're all dead and in purgatory!

Anyone else feel Johns interaction with his past friends from britain are always way better than for example any of his scenes with his american co-stars? It's like the drama just elevates and the chemistry comes of way better.

I saw that movie for the first time only two weeks ago and I thought the exact same thing! :D I thought it was ridiculous that the rope was still there, I guess Hammer knew their stuff. From now on I will believe everything I see in films produced by them.

But you can experience pain without touch. Headache and such. Pain is a way for the body to tell you something is wrong. I guess you could say it's our sense of potential negative body states or something.

I actually remember the day I realized I understood english as a child. It was while watching the sci-fi channel and I suddenly realized I understood what was going on even though there were no subtitles. I think I was 9 or 10 or something. I was watching the philadelphia experiment movie. :D

Yeah, maybe. I guess you could use the Centauri as an example of congruent evolution then. It's not unlikely that in a galaxy of many intelligent species, one or two would be similar in shape. Have the Centauri be vaguely humanoid and therefore relatable compared to a very non-humanoid version of the narn.

If they do decide to reboot B5 they should go all-out and use modern special effects and make all the aliens truly alien and non-humanoid. It might change and complicate the drama but they could still make the whole epic time-loop story work and it would thoroughly differentiate the reboot from the original show.

Wow, that is really interesting! And it makes sense. It sounds like it would have been a surprisingly original MMO if they had gone that route instead. I wonder if syfy will do another defiance when the tv-show is out and release an MMO for this too. I'd probably play the hell out of an MMO set in this world.

Oh dear.. but I guess I should give it a chance. Like how the inclusion of that all-time beloved character scrappy doo really elevated scooby doo and all.

Yeah the later metamorphosis of the protomolecule was when that part of the story finally started to get interesting. I'm really curious as to how this newly created fully alien world on venus will affect the larger solar society and politics of humanity in the other books.

I borrowed this book from the library and really enjoyed it. The zombies felt kind of out of place though. Like the writers were pandering to movie execs to lure them in with the now-standard zombie-element to any story. Game of thrones has their ice walkers and such..

Oh don't worry. It probably won't even be set in england or be about english people. ;) ;(

Haha, no problem! :D And don't say that. I'm a half-finnish swede so it's hard not to know about Finlands role in the war (it's nice to have something to be proud of from those times as sweden sure as hell didn't do much good). And the part about Poland I only knew about because I visited the country last summer. :)

A commonly overlooked aspect of WW2 is the fact that Soviet Russia was also doing its own empire building invading nearby countries at the time. The reason Finland isn't referred to neutral (or axis) is because they were fighting their own series of wars against a soviet invasion.

It looks to me like it's the handrail that is either not moving at all or moving too slowly which is creating the problem here. Notice how when they hold the handrail their hand isn't moving which is making them fall backwards as their feet are going up.

On the topic of new shows on syphy, has there been any news of all those sci-fi shows they've been anouncing this last year?

I'm surprised no one else has mentioned this one. Is it because the civilisation in question isn't human? It's an interesting depiction of a matriarch civilisation even though it's about alien cat-people.

Ah there its is! The comment I was hoping to find. :D These annoying things were the first thing I thought about when reading this article. I got instant flashbacks of black shadowy blobs following your ship in hyperspace and just knowing it's one of these things. :D

Those people should just chill out, I thought the painting was really cool!
