Crafty!

I feel for you there. I actually work in sales analysis for a major automaker, so I follow the currently supply issues very closely. Regarding your statement, it’s probably a fair bet that you will like a brand new modern vehicle more than your 30 year old Honda, but I guess you won’t know for sure until you get it.

Thank you, and right back at you – it is indeed refreshing. Even though we’re all speculating, have no idea what the real reasons are, and are to some extent just screaming into the void, it’s nice to be screaming into the void together, instead of at each other!

My understanding of the legality of cross-state recording consent is that is NOT flatly illegal, but VERY grey, and pretty much completely untested in courts.

they also know I’m there when I use my credit card to purchase the food without the app!

“Full disclosure: This author has never eaten at Taco Bell. Honestly, he prefers Chipotle Mexican Grille.”

The universe is expanding???  But that’s inflation!  And inflation is bad!  Say no to the universe expanding.  Vote no on proposition 81.

Pre-Covid, if you had told me that most Americans don’t believe or understand the Big Bang Theory, I would have politely disagreed.

H&R Block Premium can do form 4684 (just checked in my own copy - I do taxes for a bunch of friends and family every year). I can’t imagine the equivalent TurboTax version wouldn’t handle it as well. You probably need whatever uplevel version can handle rental income, self-employment, and that sort of thing.

Should be in the itemized deductions section

Lovely!

Awwww!

Depends on the dog, totally. I run a pet store, and have beautiful relationships with hundreds of dogs - some who cry and pee when they see me (I appreciate but do not reciprocate), but the dogs who love me want eye contact, and want my full attention as they whine in my ear about the travesties their parents put them

The entire trend of videos that are “fuck with your pet by doing X” needs to die. Some of the things are harmless but all of them encourage the attitude that pets are entertainment instead of responsibility.

Nope, on a computer

I’m guessing there was a link, that got Kinja’d. Doesn’t show in the final post 😊

Kind of left out the key part of this sentence:

Those aren’t churches. They are monuments to grifters’ abilities to con people out of money.

IDK where in the south that was but I can guarantee that if you’d talked to a deacon or pastor they would have gladly wrote you a permission letter. I remember one deacon bringing it up when I was a kid. The church we went to was easily visible from a state route and he’d found out that the deputies were chasing off

...did you really just do a full article on something that XKCD did as a gag over a decade ago? https://xkcd.com/606/
