I’m a big fan of geolactations!

And, to add to that, the dollar is VERY strong right now. This means the US is pretty expensive for international travelers.
I agree... But, it comes down to whether or not you want to have your performance with a side of flash. If you want to fly under the radar (as much as possible in a $200K car) pick the Porsche is what I was saying. It’s the most invisible $200K on the market.
Plus, you can do all of those things in the 911 and not have to explain to random passers by what the car is, how fast it is, where it’s built, the history of McLaren... EVERY TIME YOU STOP TO GET GAS.
Not gonna lie... I did.
That’s not accurate... we got 13.7 highway in ours!
I understand the ride in the back can be a bit... stiff.
Thanks! We practice Tavarish’s advice all the time.
Can you do a clutch on a E39 BMW?
I’ve got 143K on the C30. I really like it, I just keep the useless rear seats folded and treat it like a small wagon/shooting break.
Yep... Or, if you want to drive one of them. It’s a constant swapping of vehicles sometimes just to go to a show/track day/work.
They were pretty prevalent in Minneapolis since everyone seemingly has a boat and two snowmobiles. They aren’t as common in Chicago.
I feel you... It seems the people interested in running the HOAs are just interested in imposing their will on “how things should be” on others. I get the idea is for the common upkeep and so forth... but, c’mon!
I’ll take that as a compliment. And an air-cooled Beetle to keep Torchinsky happy!
Thanks! It was the #1 priority. Fortunately, we were friends with our realtor and he knew what we were serious about. And, due to the house being on the market for a year and a bitter divorce, we got a pretty good deal. We intend to stay here for life at this point, and once we go, the land it sits on (~3 acres)…
I’m short a diesel wagon.
Sure... Note: An absurdly large number of these were Craigslist finds. We tend to buy other people’s stalled projects. Then, we forget to sell them. Also, most of these have over 100,000 miles on them, some over 200K. We do our own wrenching, so mileage doesn’t scare us.
In chronological order (* = actually…
We looked in to it when we were house shopping. We could find ones, but it would have been difficult to make it a residence, legally. We could put a loft in one, along with a kitchen/bath/etc. But to set it up like a full-on house over the garage would have been a no-no from a zoning perspective in our area.
Ours said the same thing!
