Jody, on a semi-related point, what is your opinion on current avatar looks versus uncanny valley rejection?  I mean, if this ever took off in its current form, people will be interacting with very inhuman-looking avatars.  Current headsets don’t capture face expressions even if the avatar itself got to realistic

I frankly don’t believe in VR as a meeting or work experience today. Not with avatars at least. Until said avatars can properly capture expressions, body language and full range of movement a la Ready Player One, and until VR headsets are as affordable as, say, webcams (and are not uncomfortable to wear for hours) I

That’s what years of ground-pounding random goombas will do to anyone’s butt after a few years. The working title of the movie is probably Old Man Mario.

Ok, I missed that bit.  So the question now is: Will it be “sanitized” in any way to make it less scary?  I kinda sorta expect that at the very least they’re going to eliminate the beers and cigars part.

Actually, I am wondering if they’re even going to keep that scene. The way things work these days, they might be too afraid to do what was essentially “animated body horror” for its time.
Personally, I’d include it, and I’d double down on those aspects.

At the time of this comment, the article reads “...he might be joined by Lada Gaga as Harley Quinn”. Yes, we know you meant “Lady”, but now I can’t help but imagine Joker doing a dance around a certain Russian vehicle.

I am going to have to rewatch it. I didn’t notice this (which makes me question my brain’s condition but that’s another matter). Thanks for bringing it up.

Here is my question: ¿Why did Obi-Wan bring Lola the droid with him in the last chapter? She didn’t do anything other than sit in the ship until he returned her to Leia, so why take her in the first place? And if it was only to have an excuse for Obi-Wan to return to Alderaan, then that was lame and lazy of the

Yes, we morbed too hard, hence the second coming of the Morbius.

No Eddie, no Marilyn... something about their absence so far feels odd.  Are they even in the movie?

I half-agree, except in the comics she is also depicted during her better times and as the occasional heroine of the story. In the MCU, Wanda’s sole purpose appears to be the lightning rod for every miserable thing that happens, and her “wins” such as her romance with Vision, are there only as the catalyst for the

Wanda deserves a lot better than what she’s got in the MCU as a whole. It is almost like Elizabeth Olsen’s contract has a clause that her character’s life and circumstances have to include misery and heartbreak and loss. If she ever returns, Marvel owes her a win. A big, legitimate, wholesome one. You don’t think so?

Phals Flagg and Aima Nassol come to mind.

As much as I hate that this show is being cut off before its time, I am grateful that at the very least Ms. Terrace will be able to finish the story next season. With so many shows being axed left and right, it feels nice knowing that at least we won’t be left on a cliffhanger.

Also, screw Disney for axing this show!

Oh, come on.  Am I the only one who sees this?  Everything that has happened and will happen will lead to an entire reality-clashing free-for-all of monumental proportions, and when all is said and done, the last scene will zoom out, transition from a movie frame to a comic book splash panel, and the comic will be

Perhaps I should have said then, that the mere act of watching a TV program does not automatically convert anyone into whatever they are depicting.  At best, the TV can inspire you to do something, but the drive to make it happen has to already exist within you.  Several things happen on TV where your immediate

I am very sick of this stupid argument that TV is what influences anyone to be anything or do anything.  In my childhood, it was those dang cowboy shows making you go kill people, which evolved into those dang violent cartoons making you go kill people, which evolved into those dang video games making you go kill

If you’re wondering what else could those toon parts in the plastic bags may mean, spot the Pink Panther/Felix The Cat mash-up in the trailer.  SOMEONE IS MASHING UP CARTOONS HERE!!!!

Good one! I’d have loved to see more bites though. Few things go as well with my afternoon coffee as the screams of angry toy collectors going on a diatribe about the origin and canon of little plastic gods (I collect Transformers, I don’t fuss about details, but let’s just say that in some communities, saying “Rumble

If he pays, I’d be willing to bet he’ll do so by raising funds from his base. He’ll use some catchy name for the fund-rising activity, get more than enough money to pay for this, and he’ll brag about it like it is some genius move.
