I agree.  And Musk was humble the ENTIRE TIME.  He knew, and admitted many many times, that it might not be of any use, but it didnt hurt him or anyone else to offer it and bring it to them.  He never bragged, and multiple times commended and brought attention to the rescue team.  I hate Musk, I really do, but I hate

Exactly, it’s simple - this is a guy who gets a kick out of solving complex engineering problems, and he wanted to help these kids. Nothing nefarious about it. And I still found it impressive what was put together in this short time frame - maybe it has some other application in the future.

Literally no one is saying Elon is a hero in this scenario. If his tweeting about his mini-sub takes away attention from the real heroes, that’s a problem with the media and society in general.

The writers at Gizmodo and this whole operation have horrible opinions that they feel the need to shove down our throats and ruin otherwise half decent articles. I was just trying to recall at what point they decided they didn’t like Elon Musk, as every article they wrote for years was nothing but praise. Now they

Guy has money, material, smart cookies, and the ability to pretty much put anything he wants into motion.

And who did his actions hurt?  No one but your fragile ego, apparently.

I came here expecting to shit on this article, but...you right.

Yes.

I agree, that’s what it sounded like to me. Wild animals generally behave a certain way in given situations. When wild animals start acting placid, calm and friendly, that’s either a Disney movie, or what’s commonly called “dumb rabies.” (Yes, that’s a real term. The opposite is “furious rabies” which most people are

Time is a factor. If it’s rabid, you can’t risk that sucker escaping.

It’s more than just inconvenient if you’re nearly bedridden after major surgery. It’s hard enough to get most doctors to prescribe a useful dose/quantity, and now pharmacies are overriding that? Sorry, but access to effective treatment for patients with actual problems should not be impeded because of a few bad

Yes, addicts will still find a way. All this will do is punish those who truly need them. It makes me think back to when my mom was dying from cancer. Life was hectic and she was in no condition to be running to the store for her prescription all the time. Even if she had sent someone else it is now more difficult for

A Vic-20 was no C64, man. Sheesh.

Relationships are between people and individual people may have different likes, tolerances, etc. I’ve been married more than twenty years because I give my wife space to be who she is and she gives me the space to be who I am. Try it some time. It works.

“[...] nobody would feel good happening across a gun stashed in your place, especially a woman who is anti-gun and doesn’t know you have one.”

Not true. Mass shootings are down; school shootings are down; crime in general is down to historic lows, per capita.

Well, you’re obviously a moron who doesn’t know how to read. I said they can speak about their experience and that they went thru a traumatic event.

There’s a reason we don’t allow high school kids to make national policy. While these kids can provide information regarding their personal experience going thru such a traumatic ordeal, there’s no reason to listen to them when it comes to such a complicated issue as gun rights and the 2nd amendment.

This is an excellent lesson to learn. I learned it from Pee-Wee Herman, in Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure: he’s showing off on his bike and crashes spectacularly. He stands up, straightens his jacket, and says, “I meant to do that.”

This is how I’ve lived my life ever since.
