Yes. Next to Prince’s, her Super Bowl Half Time show was the greatest in history. But you couldn’t pay me to watch her documentary.

Some weeks, yes. They keep flip-flopping with whether Lydia’s really in it for the girls or whether she’s in it for the fundamentalism and bullying.

I didn’t mind the karaoke scene. I DID mind that they used “Islands in the Stream,” which is one of my favorite songs ever and should NEVER be bastardized like that. (yes, I also hate “Ghetto Superstar” for this reason)

So, how’s your sex life?

I said this above, but I think about it in terms of what I would have preferred to watch as a kid in the 90s: Homeward Bound or The Lion King? Hands down The Lion King. I mean I enjoyed both but The Lion King was definitely a more colorful, kid-friendly spectacle.

Plz link to your Kickstarter, thx

I don’t know; after seeing some of the footage of this one I presume kids would be far more bored watching it than the colorful, look-at-me animated version.

I feel like Beyonce’s helped create her own shrine to herself by being so extremely elusive. She never posts to social media and when she does post to Instagram, it’s never with a comment. All those “PRESENTED WITHOUT COMMENT OR CONTEXT” posts make me think she thinks she’s above all of that. That and the fact that

I genuinely wonder if he’d critique the male’s performance (LOW-ENERGY!) as much as the woman’s appearance.

Vote. That’s all I got. I’m pretty confident that a Democratic president (while maybe not able to *fix* all of this) will at least return this country and that office to a place of normalcy and order.

I absolutely think it’s a “we ran out of source material” problem with GoT and this show. The writers got lazy instead of imaginative and stuck too closely to their main characters instead of world-building.

I think the problem arises in the subconscious decisions of the writers: if racism doesn’t matter then flesh out your characters of color* and stop throwing all the exposition on white women (Lydia, Serena, June, Emily). Yes, the fact that two black women in a row were killed is merely coincidental, but optically it’s

A lot of the show’s most poignant moments happen without June and this is my argument for moving on from her. Make the story universal: show us what’s going on with Nick in Chicago. Give us more backstories. Tell us HOW Gilead happened. And follow the rules that you have created and logically kill June off.

One of the things that really bothered me about June staying in Gilead and not running to Canada is that in retrospect, now that the show’s leaning on this international custody story line, Gilead has a much stronger case for getting Nichole back. They can argue that both of Nichole’s biological parents are there

I get the propaganda videos loophole but the testimony scene was just INSANE to me. So June admits to plotting a kidnapping that got 3 people executed, all the Handmaids know it, but sees NO RETRIBUTION and OfMatthew is the one who gets in trouble???! WTFFFFFF. I also thought it was highly unlikely that OfMatthew

“Looking for Mr. Goodbar” LOfuckingLforever.

I wish they’d do what you suggest: kill June off or have her miraculously escape with Hannah to Canada (she’s untouchable like that) and then move on to other stories and places. Tons of fans would complain about the heel turn of the show but I’m much more inclined to tune in if it meant more original content and less

They bounce back and forth with her and it’s really confusing. It also is a disservice to Ann Dowd, who’s fantastic and at least sells whatever version of Lydia she’s supposed to be at the moment.

Totally agree with your comment. Quite honestly, the potential to see Lydia’s backstory (or anymore flashbacks or departures from June’s place setting) was and is the only thing keeping me interested in the show. I’m really glad we got it and I thought it was fitting, interesting, and made sense. Alone, this was a

I dunno, I wanted to see Lydia’s backstory; I was deeply curious. I wouldn’t have cared in Season 1 but the show has spent a little bit of time giving Lydia nuance, and as soon as she told June in DC that she didn’t want Handmaids to be silenced I knew this was coming. There have been so many moments when the show
