The i3 has lived up to my realistic expectations. It's an excellent city and commuter car. I haven't taken it on longer trips and doubt that I will, as I have the battery-only. I can attest that every day that I drive it, I enjoy it immensely.

As an BMW i3 driver, I was very interested in the X5 40e. It hasn’t disappointed. Updated software gives range 20 miles on battery-only.

With an i3 as a daily driver, I disagree with the “ugly stick”. Take time to appreciate its form that comes its function and the design grows on you.
I like my i3, and silent electric driving, so much that I got an X5 40e, too.

The REx lives in the rear. It’s a 2-cyl motorcycle engine. (So, technically, the i3 REx is the first first rear-engine BMW since the Isetta).
