I agree with your concern. I think the popularity of Spider-Verse and other inter-dimensional cross-overs is that Marvel realized they could think out of the box and that there did not need to be only one of a character type at a time. If only they understood this before Brand New Day.

Peter Parker should not retire, he should be allowed to evolve his role now. Miles can be the teenage Spider-Man that some fans want and Peter can be the Spider-Man that actually uses his science skills effectively, like the Superior Spider-Man but with his traditional ethics in place.

I’m not a fan of trains; they are too inhibited as a transportation system. They are better for cargo but not personal transport. One market they could fill is to supplement airport to airport traffic in a state. If I can’t get a non stop to my city it would be nice to take a plane to a large airport and a train to my

Each week I am completely convinced that each character is played by a different actress in my heart even if my mind knows different. Tatiana Maslany is accomplishing the most incredible acting role ever. Allison’s side story is just so much fun and a welcome intermission in the Castor story and the pursuit of the

Plus, if they get good Spider-Man movies on track then they don’t have to worry about him getting too old for the role as soon as the other Avengers for example are facing.

I wonder if its safe to assume that his being high school aged means they will feature high school antics typical of the early Stan Lee/Steve Ditko days. They’ve already indicated that they would not be repeating his origin. He can simply be on summer vacation to avoid those tropes. We can only hope that Marvel and

There has to be priority made to planets that are survivable for humans.

He should not have said anything

With wrists that good he should be playing baseball

It was a really good tease and misdirection and a very satisfying reveal.

I will add this criticism of a show I otherwise love; I don’t like it when the characters of a team become the plot point. To be clear let’s consider the example of Fringe where Olivia Dunham is a Fringe science investigator who ends up being one of the subjects of investigation.

I always felt that Iron Fist fell short.

That’s kind of brilliant insight. She didn’t make any sacrifices that really hurt or surprised except maybe Maharet. Frankly a fan might have done a better job with it.

I get that about Prince Lestat. I think Anne fell into a little bit of wish fulfillment with it. I read it on vacation last fall and I liked it well enough for revisiting those characters and revisiting the technicalities of what forces created her vampires, but I don’t really see her craft improving.

I read the books about ten years ago. I don’t remember them being explicitly hateful toward anything. Ender as a character is a xenophile in a world of xenophobes. This does not excuse him from also being a homophobe but it’s suggestive of such. I’d have to re-read them again to be certain but it’s not on my todo list

Anne Rice’s Lestat novels. I tried to re-read the last two books a few years ago and I could not tolerate how meandering the internal dialog that Lestat engages in. Get to the point! I know he’s a relatively immortal being that doesn’t do that but it was far less endearing the second time.

Not in defense of Card’s personal beliefs but are characters allowed to be homophobic to represent real characters? It can’t be presumed that Ender’s future world will continue on the track of more tolerance. History shows that tolerance ebbs and flows. When we read a book we’re supposed to suspend our personal
