I didn’t hate it, but it just didn’t grab me. Ah well. I still have ST:O.

I think I disagree with pilots. I would probably rate both Enterprise and DS9 as stronger openings.

There’s no logical reason for constantly reminding others that you think you’re better than they are.

New Trek Show review in a single word:

I only watched the first episode of Star Trek: Discovery (yes, the abbreviation will be STD) but I ain’t mad at it.

I feel like the first clue that Georgiou wasn’t long for this world was that the show isn’t called Star Trek: Shenzou.

I guess I’m the only person here who didn’t like it. Ah well. Enjoy. I’ll stick with The Orville.

I liked The Orville better.

I liked The Orville better.

She continues to be wrong in the second half. The show also continues to have a giant trumpian boner for preemptive violence.

As I’ve said elsewhere, I really don’t consider what was aired to be the first episode. It was half of the first episode, and I didn’t appreciate them doing it that way.

The first clue that Georgiou wasn’t long for this world was when Michelle Yeoh showed up in the credits as a “special guest star”. Plus the promotional clips couldn’t resist showing off the special effects of the battle scenes, which made it pretty clear the Shenzou was going to wind up crippled (at best). So I can’t

I would argue you haven’t actually seen the first episode of Discovery. You’ve seen half of it. Having seen episode 2 (which this review also covered), I can say that this was a classic “two hour series premier movie” and NOT two discreet episodes. They should have put both on TV and gone from there. The ending of

First half was okay, but ending the one preview episode on a cliffhanger made me a pretty firm “no” on going All Access. Bit of a shame, seemed to some cool stuff, a bit weird to have your first episode be either A) your protagonist being wrong for an hour or B) suggesting that pre-emptive violence is a good thing,

I had to quit watching and take aspirin for the headache the camera angels and lens flare were giving me ,can no one hold the camera level for 5 seconds?

Admiral Ross on DS9 was good.

Unless that person is Admiral Kirk.

Now playing

I hope it doesn’t take from the worst parts of GoT. (shock value moments that don’t do anything to serve the plot, writing backwards from major events instead of toward them)

The world needs Star Trek, and the values it promotes, now more than ever.

Hope it fucks off up Picards ass!

Twerking is a good example of the conservation of angular momentum. If you do it right.
