You cant go wrong with an XJ. I got to 250K before I sold it and all I had to replace was the exhaust manifold and Basic Maintenance. In the form shown above I got between 15 and 18 MPG I have friends with stock Cherokees that get between 18-22mpg.

XJ Jeep Cherokee without a doubt. You can do any kind of activity with it from autocross to hardcore 4- wheeling to drag racing, they are cheep as dirt, remarkably safe, easy to wrench on, get decent gas mileage for an SUV and there is just enough room in the back for a hardcore make out session the list goes on.
I love the random shit that I find with him on Youtube from his Tiny Desk Concert with Yoyo Ma( see below) to random sessions.
Here ya go:
This is the way it should be. Simple almost to the point of absurdity!
You never know, even the Jeepster was capable of being lifted and adventurous. And it didn't even need a "trail rated" badge.
It sounds like your too stupid to understand that the Jeep is a purest brand built on the foundation of simple vehicles that were capable off road weather or not they had a "trail rated" badge or not. And that foundation has been chipped away for 10 years while Stupid people made excuses why each little part of the…
Well since there isn't anything made currently that is remotely similar to the Utility Vehicles of old. No wonder people are spending more for older Utility vehicles. Anyone in the market for a work/ off road capable vehicle would take one look at the modern Explorer or Cherokee or land cruiser and say "Fuck that" and…
Didn't say I agreed with that either... As much as I adore the Interceptor its not a muscle car.
It's not about how much it costs now after 40 years it's about how affordable it was when new. And when this was new it was significantly higher than any proper muscle car. Just because the Roadrunner appreciated and the mercedes depreciated doesn't mean anything. It's a luxury sedan with huge balls, not a muscle…
It reminds me of 1/10th scale foam pan car tires which to be honest are half the reason I wanted to race pan car. I love the look of them on pan cars, on this it takes some getting used too.
As I walked into the Club for the first time, my senses were encompassed by the atmosphere. The dark lighting and stained walnut woodwork glistening from fresh varnish gave the room a romantic allure that beckoned you further in. This coupled with the candle lit tables and soft saxophone tones emanating from the small…
How about the Ford Probe. They missed the mark by a half step with this car, and what could have been a great sports car come racer was cut short by bean counters and budget mongers
For example, my suggestion the Fairlane Thunderbolt. In 1964 you could walk into a Ford showroom and order one and it would cost you $3750. Adjusted for inflation that's about $30000. The Brabus Merc. Runs between $5-600000. That sounds pretty comparable! Even the modern equivalent for drag pack, the Mustang Cobra Jet…
Australia is basically America -40 years, Before everyone got soft and trendy and the lawyers took over the country.
The FPV ford falcon fits the bill pretty well. big RWD sedan with an overpowered V8 and a shit ton of attitude.
To be honest, I don't agree with the Shelby either. its also too expensive and not factory backed from Ford.
I don't think its as much the American factor as its a luxury/ price factor. Most of the original muscle cars were still semi-affordable to people beyond the proletariat. whereas I can't see joe construction worker tooling around in a Mrabus Merc.
