I hope it helps you!

That actually works really well most of the time.

Hi, lawyer here (though admittedly not in CA). They have to sue the deceased because she’s the one who collided with them. They might sue Caitlyn too but ultimately she’ll probably be brought in as a third-party defendant by the insurance company of the deceased woman. If it makes you feel any better, the woman’s auto

I’ve actually heard of this happening before. A friend’s uncle was a lawyer for a girl who was in a bad car crash-but her friend she was with, who was driving, died. Parents wanted to sue the venue that kicked the girls out (they knew the girls were drinking underage, but sent them home) and the police who spoke to

It's very much like that.

From a money standpoint, it’s not at all odd. An estate is a legal entity. The estate will also likely sue Jenner, if it hasn’t already, and maybe counter sue Hummer guys. I don’t really pay attention to reality tv so idk.

Think of it a different way.... Imagine if you can’t sue a dead person and the person had survived - there’d be a lot more incentive to commit suicide to protect your assets for your family.

I drive like a complete idiot in bad weather (like I’m in control of my car and I’m not swerving everywhere, but I’m also usually going the speed limit instead of as slow as I should be). This whole thing has really made me second guess that, and I’ll probably be a lot more careful when the snow comes this winter.

This may be tactical. If I’m not mistaken, if the court rules that the woman who died had no share of the responsibility, they can bring that up as a fact when they sue Jenner later. If the court rules that she had a small share of the blame, they can try to assign the remainder to Jenner. It also makes it harder for

Perhaps my understanding of the situation is off, but I see it as a tragic combination of several people, Caitlyn Jenner, Kim Howe, and those in the Hummer included, driving as people typically drive instead of how, ideally, they should drive. It is horrible that someone died and that others were injured. But I think

Very true. She had the last opportunity to avoid an accident. I was stopped at a red light and was booted into the intersection on snow/ice. My car was a sedan and and SUV punted me right into oncoming traffic. I slid and had not way to stop. Not exactly my fault!

dying doesn’t absolve them of liability, if they are at fault

Are the Hummer guys sueing or is their insurance sueing?

Yeah, but this whole thing borders on an act of God. Just a series of unfortunate events that happened to occur right as she publicly announced her transition.

I am dead.

My personal favorite:

The comments here are going to turn into a shitstorm of epic proportions, so would anyone like to talk about the weather? Post puppy gifs? Has anyone bought any cool shoes recently?

This one?
Btw, as a grey you can still post images - people just have to bring your post out of the greys, like normal.

Those covers look like barf.
