I’m just pissed off we didn’t get more of him after they started teaming up cuz of the movie he may not even wind up being in. Manu Bennett was exceptional in the role.

Goddamn, Arrow S2 aka the Deathstroke season is still pretty great. So I definitely understand Manu Bennett’s annoyance when he came back seasons later and had to look like a chump in order to get him back into the cell.

I think you’re right that mothers are also pretty important in the MCU, although the stories are different. The father-child relationships are all presented as complicated if not dysfunctional in the Marvel movies, whereas moms are pretty much given an unquestioned, all-powerful devotion by their children; see:

As soon as he mentioned “the backside of water” my face lit up like a firework.. I wasn’t expecting skipper jokes, but knowing that they’re in it makes me want to see the movie so much more. I’m glad there’s at least one scene that pays tribute to the ride.

Oh man, that would have been amazing. Anthony Hopkins is good, but he’s so obviously not Zorro. Julia absolutely is.

It’s so hard for me to get on board with Addams Family reboots. Raul Julia so encapsulated Gomez, and the rest of the casting was about perfect, too. It’s hard to pull something like that off once, let alone twice, and the quality to me has not reached the level of those films.

I just feel it’s kinda mean getting called a misogynist if I don’t enjoy wooden terrible acting, but you know whatevs.
