In addition to what other commenters have said about Rob Reiner’s progressive credentials, just a week ago, he and the surviving cast of The Princess Bride (minus Fred Savage and Malcolm Storry) livestreamed a table read of the screenplay (plus a Q&A after) to raise funds for Wisconsin Democrats. So that tweet isn’t

I had to re-read that statement twice because I was so taken aback. Not sure how old this writer is, but you’re right, a 30-second google search could have provided her some insight.

If you didn’t know anything about Rob Reiner, you could have at least taken 30 seconds to Google him. He’s been a highly vocal (and financial) advocate for civil rights for 50 years. He helped start the American Foundation for Equal Rights. He’s repeatedly bankrolled challenges to Right-wing legal attacks on women,

It’s a good thing for his new wife that people aren’t going to the gym very often with Covid

I’m not sure what this has to do with anything, but I’ve always wondered - how on earth do people find the time and energy to carry on an affair? After waking up early, helping get the kids ready and out the door, and then working all day, I’m just ready to get home, finish my responsibilities (dinner, dishes, kids to

For the same base price you could get more than 7,000 Pop Tarts.

I’m tired of assholes who unthinkingly parrot bullshit about following rules when it’s fucking obvious that they’re selectively enforced. If you see cops pass a dozen white people breaking the same rule to hassle a Black person for breaking that rule. you don’t get to use the existence of that rule to excuse racist

Youre not talking about Bart.

I’ve eaten at BART stations dozens of times, with nary a problem. Hell, I’ve never *seen* anyone get hassled (much less arrested) for eating in a BART station. Of course, I’m white, so this definitely seems like one of those “selective enforcement” situations.

And everyone in the restaurant moved up two places in line.

I think it’s just a way of wording it to indicate that she was the one assigned to clean up after her. It’s not a criminal conspiracy to describe trash and other things you leave for cleaning staff to take care of, even if accidentally, to be described as “left for cleaning staff”. I’m hesitant to police the language

No, don’t feel anything for that Viper. She was/is a ‘Birther’ as much as her Vile husband. There’s plenty of video out there of her spewing the lies!

As Chris Rock said “there are black people who aren’t even born yet who won’t vote for him.”

I assume the challenge in thinking is that there is also a revenge porn aspect. I can think it was bad that she had an affair with a subordinate and also think her ex-husband is a scum bag who should be prosecuted for leaking nude photos of her. But not everyone can hold multiple truths.

My sister and brother-in-law took their 3-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son with them to the ultrasound, because both parents wanted to be there and it was easier than arranging childcare. The doctor asked “Do you want to know what it is?” and the parents said “NO!” while the siblings yelled “Yes!”

Out: gender reveal parties

I can tell that we’re being snarky but I can’t tell if we’ve come around to a realization of how dumb and performative these prison sentences are.

Eh, I would maybe agree if they had given her a six month or longer sentence. There’s no reason that Felicity Huffman has to be kept from society long-term in order to protect the public. She’s not a danger.

The Unbearable Agony of Being The Woman Who Doesn’t Know The Difference Between William H. Macy and Willem Defoe.

It sounds so silly that the prosecutor says he will “probably” ask for more jail time for Lori Loughlin than for Felicity Huffman. Huffman’s crime was a much lesser offense, and she stepped forward and pleaded guilty immediately.
