OK, I’m an idiot: not Spanish — one of them is Portuguese... but still the general point remains... “Camelot” is not a country. Sigh. Next thing we see, they’ll have us meet the characters from Middle Earth, who for some reason Tolkein got all wrong. :-\

Throughout this season of OUaT so far, I’m constantly feeling this strange discomfort that I can only interpret as a psionic sense of what must be the general British RAGE at what they’re doing with Camelot/Arthur, etc. I keep watching ‘cuz I enjoy the OUaT characters and wacky takes on famous fairy tales, but...

Ditto. Well, I guess the answer is pretty obvious... :-\ We could both stop giving a crap and just pander. But I bet you’re about as capable of that as I am. ;-)

Honestly, when I read the book the first time... I remember getting to the page with the gigantic alien monster and thinking, Really?!? It just seemed so incongruous with the rest of the story. The movie ending gave it a more cohesive theme. And you create a character like Dr. Manhattan, you really just gotta get rid

Oh yeah, don’t I know it. Been there, done that. But to put it on a big screen for general audiences, um... no.

First time I saw the night sky at sea. And then every night for the following three months I spent out there.

There are various theories about Ivar. I’m looking forward to how they’re going to interpret his nickname in Vikings. They’ve already suggested that he was born deformed somehow...

They didn’t draw out the mystery very long, oddly enough, though it’s a trope I enjoy anyway when done well. I would recommend giving it another chance. The story becomes more about the characters remaking themselves and their relationships with varying amounts of background material to work on, about the nature of

Killjoys never could maintain my attention, but I absolutely loved Dark Matter. It’s kind of old-fashioned skiffy in a good way, and I’m a bit of a throwback myself. But I also figured that since I enjoyed it so much, it probably won’t be around for long. That seems to be the way of it; my taste runs almost directly

It really did. Thematically and just... well, it was more sane.

I actually preferred the movie’s ending to Alan Moore’s original. :-o It seemed thematically fitting and less... well... weird.

Same here. It seems to depend on the type of bean, tho. I’ve never made black beans from dry that ever seemed to get done. But black-eye peas and pinto beans (my favorites) cook easy peasy! ;-)

If you’ve seen Moffat’s “Jeckyll” starring James Nesbitt, you’ll know they have a lot to live up to. But that’s OK. I’ll certainly give it a shot and probably enjoy it — if not quite as much...

Not a gamer at all. Someone had to explain this whole thing to me. But I love me some Fassbender. And the plot does sound pretty cool. Looking forward to it, even though Prince of Persia was... well... <shudder>

A real loss. I think my own writing is as influenced by his as anyone else.

...that we know of...

I saw part of “Spawn” again recently and would just like to point out that he’s been worse than wasted before. The movie was SO much more horrible than I remembered...

It’s really sad that this even needs to be said.

All my favorites: Brian Daley’s Han Solo trilogy and the Hobart Floyt and Alacrity Fitzhugh novels... L. Neil Smith’s Lando Calrissian series... the Hitchhiker’s Guide “trilogy” and Dirk Gently... the Disworld series... Retief and the Stainless Steel Rat... the Transmetropolitan graphic novel series... Hellblazer and P

Ummm... What exactly makes him a hippie?
