First, because the identity of the X-Men is inherently a team identity - apart from Logan, how many of the X-Men tend to get their own series? I’ll put Agent Carter, Black Widow and Jessica Jones (along with Daisy, May, Jemma Simmons, Yo-Yo, Aida, Misty Knight, Coleen Wing, The Ancient One, Gamora and Nebula up as all the evidence I need that the MCU can and will do great things with female characters.
Why do these people insist on this? It literally has zero affect on their daily lives. It seems so weird to waste so much time, effort and money on this. I would hope that the NCAA does pull the events; even though they are not doing it for the right cause. Sends a bit of a message to these clowns.

The two biggest reasons I’m excited for this is because, unlike the other CW shows this is not an “origin story”, and because he’s not a teen-twentysomething coming to terms with his power.

If your main character is James Bond it’s not the fault of the audience for being disappointed when you tell a John LeCarre story. If you want to tell a John Le Carre story then you use George Smiley, not James Bond.
I saw it as they were stuffy and uptight only when there were any non-Sovereign around, but amongst themselves they did have individual personalities and less formality.
