I was about add that in regarding age. I’m 41, still dealing with occasional breakouts. (Accutane in my late 20s fixed my painful cystic acne and that hasn’t come back, thank god, but that drug was awful and I’m not sure I could put myself through it again).

I personally love that Kravitz cover so I’m genuinely confused to see it here, lol. I like both versions, but it’s nice to have a interpretation that sounds markedly different (and in my opinion, still works).

Yup, I’ve only been on the regular Bike, so can’t compare to the Bike+. I would hope it would be more sturdily constructed!

Also, the app to use for power zone training is called Stages Flight. When you open it, you connect the app to your Stages bike monitor, hit start, and you’re off to the races (literally). There’s even an FTP test built into the app so you can retest as needed. The 7 zones are colored (blue/green/yellow/orange/cherry

Plus the monthly membership is actually MORE if you have a Peloton brand bike, because I guess you’re paying for all the fancy extras in terms of it keeping your bike history, power zone information, etc. They are about to change their plans and increase prices (because of course), but I’ve been paying $13/month to

sure. but to reiterate my response above: I have taught cycling on various indoor bikes that have used that type of seat adjustment, and we had lots of issues with seats slipping out of place because for whatever reason, the mechanism wasn’t able to exert enough pressure to hold it in place after regular use. The

Yes. Which, my outdoor bike also has the same type of pin and it’s fine, but I also have a decent, well-made outdoor bike, as I’m sure you do. I have taught cycling on various indoor bikes that have used that type of seat adjustment, and we had lots of issues with seats slipping out of place because for whatever

I have the Stages SC3 bike — this one: https://studio-cycles.com/products/stages-sc3-indoor-bike?_pos=3&_sid=8de580485&_ss=r

longtime cycling instructor here. The Peloton app/platform is, actually, pretty great. I did not have high hopes, but I joined during COVID and was shocked at how much I liked it. Plenty of variety not just in cycling, but other workouts, and they do have a good mix of instructor styles/personalities. I got way into

Yup, this is the one I have — it does both single-cup and full-pot brews. The single-cup brew has a little washable wire mesh basket that you put your grounds in, so no need for any K-cup product at all. PLUS it’s tall and you can fit a travel mug under it (not the case with a lot of these machines).

Yes, along the same lines, mammograms and Pap smears and low-dose CT scans don’t prevent breast and cervical and lung cancers, respectively, either. But they help catch those cancers at early stages so that it’s more likely to be treatable and not a death sentence.

I think it’s trying to say that the photo was taken from inside the room with him, facing the window. As in, this person came in, took the phone from him while he slept, saw a bug in/near the window and took a pic of it, and it just happened to have his car in the background, which was outside. Maybe?

Yes, our campus uses Starship robots that do look identical to these. Can report that they work great for food delivery (and are adorable when wheeling around campus, to boot).

Composting has been utterly fascinating to me. During the first months of the pandemic, I bought a compost tumbler and did some basic herb gardening, which went OK. Watching my vegetable scraps/eggshells/coffee grounds/leaves/etc go from stinky rotting mess to a soil-like fertilizer was like magic, lol. For last

My stepdad, who grows an amazing garden, suggested that I blend up a bunch of egg shells and water to make a calcium-rich slurry and pour it at the base of my squash and tomato plants. I usually add my egg shells to my compost but I’ve done this a few times over the years and it’s always fixed this issue for me!

This is why anyone on a fitness journey should track their workouts (aka make notes about what they achieved, whether it’s timing/reps/weight/etc). I’ve been doing an at-home dumbbell program right now in lieu of my usual powerlifting, and it’s been a little depressing to think that I’ve probably lost some strength.

Anyone can choose to eat healthier if they wanted to. Saying it is due to ignorance is oversimplifying it.

I think the school situations might play a part in this — if you have kids (especially young ones) going back to in-person school, I think you’d be more likely to be exposed to flu (even with guidelines in place... kids are still gross regardless). Every parent I know gets whatever sickness their kids bring home.

I’m 38 and just got my HPV vaccine series this year. It was considered preventative so it was free. It’s worth asking about!

Tremors not being on this list is a crime.
