This. Maybe its the nostalgia talking (I am old enough to remember playing on the original xbox ad naseum with my friends) but none of the sequels captured the mystery and wonder of CE.

5th Gear: I just filled up with Premium the other day here in Seattle. It was $4.79. Those prices in Japan don’t seem particularly terrible...
Indeed. Particularly when some laws were written a hundred years ago when we were traveling by horse drawn carriage and boat and the fastest form of communication was the written letter.
I’d agree with the sole exception of the 22B. That thing is a MACHINE. And it looks SO SO good too...
I’m fighting the good fight here.
I mean aside from shaming this hypothetical great grannie (come on man...)
Fair point I suppose. I used to live in Manhattan however and it was in some ways a total shithole. Fun? Absolutely, when you’re in your 20s. And yea Public transit is very widely used. But the amount of trash there is horrendous. I’d say from a trash production standpoint they’re light years below Seattle, for…
Here is another way to view it. I and my wife are two separate people. We had two kids. We’re theoretically leaving the planet with the same amount of humans as we were. Thats essentially a net-zero effect by your own reasoning. Now we could have had one or zero kids, but we wanted to have children and didn’t want an…
Lol. I was a hyperbolic example, for sure.
She, along with her partner left 300. You can’t treat them separately and say they both left 300 because they didn’t together leave 600. So she left 300/2. But even that line of reasoning is a bit nonsensical because its just the wrong way to approach the problem of “what is a single person’s impact on the planet over…
I care about climate change. I am, however not willing to murder one of my two kids to “save the planet more”. I won’t have any more than two kids, my reasons being more around only having two arms to grab two kids, and no third arm to grab a 3rd kid. Also nearly every only child I’ve ever met has been a bit odd.
I was mostly joking. In the pantheon of “reasons to not have a kid”, the carbon footprint of raising one is…a bit silly.
Wait so now having children is bad for the environment?
Ahh, the old “But he didn’t MEAN TO!” defense. That’ll really play will with a judge.
Does Tesla have a different corporate structure/governance in China? I wish the article would go into more depth here. Because I know Tesla does some stupid shit, but I can’t imagine even Elon himself (obviously no stranger to Social Media Drama) would approve of this sort of tactic. Its insanely stupid, but likely…
Yuuuup! Their lifetime is as long as the warranty lasts, then “who cares!”.
This. Audi/ZF is really bad about this. Their “lifetime” transmission fluid is such a garbage recommendation...
Just make it a goddamn hatchback! This weird tall/suv-ish fastback bullshit has to stop...
“What is a Yute?”
This should’ve topped that list:
