Don’t we all WISH that were the case?

My current car has caused plenty of marital strife. Backstory: My wife drove a 2006 Audi A4 Avant. Tiptronic, poverty spec, except it had Bose. After much pushing on my part she allowed me to trade it in on a 2008 A4 Avant 6MT, Titanium package, low mileage, etc. Its a beautiful car, and the longer term plan that was

I played the crap out of that game. My favorite car was the 1973 911 2.7rs. Obviously.

Yea the massive added complexity was my main beef. I’m saying its not worthy from an engineering perspective, but rather than thinking about how to add more displacement and make that displacement flexible, they should have been thinking about how to make the existing displacement do more. I guess that was my point.

I hope its this. They did a promo when the new Star Wars came out last year and you could set the guidance voice to C3PO. That was awesome.

The Infiniti sport seats are made for large american butts though. I’m not particularly large (5'11" 190lbs) and they were extremely comfortable when I had my g35 and g37 coupes. That VQ37 + 6MT is such a sublime combination. And as far as japanese cars go, they’re shockingly understated and not ugly!

You have a strange definition of clever. As an exercise in engineering, I’m sure its fascinating, but its hardly clever.

Thats actually not true and has been disproven time and time again. But if you want to persist with that stupid line of thought then thats your prerogative as an American, I suppose...

I, also, would like to know this.

Thats a likely scenario. But what dingus sends out a 17" wide 72dpi image for a spec work submission?

Except this reeks of some idiot manager saying “my nephew is a computer whiz! I’m sure he can Photoshop this!” in some product planning meeting and everyone not giving enough of a shit to care that the end result is horrendous. It doesn’t take a genius to do what they did in this. I’m not a retoucher and I could do

My g35 and g37 coupes both had little diagram placards illustrating how to fit two golf bags in the trunk.

Nearly happened to my last week with my daughter in the car. Looked in the rearview to see a tenager texting and not stopping and then saw the “OH FUCK” moment as she slammed on her brakes and probably came within inches of giving me a tap. I was not pleased but thankful she managed to NOT hit me...

Depends on your price point, but yes. If those are your requirements an Outback really does fit the bill. They’re horrible drivers cars (objectively) but despite that they absolutely are great for plenty of people. Their downsides just happen to trigger my most deep seated hatreds of car ownership however, hence my

Thats the thing though, they’ve got their market demographics figured out SO WELL. You’re just not that demographic. I actually sort of am, but my desire to own an enjoyable car to drive and my propensity to actually care about my cars, disqualifies me from said demographic.

Good news if you’re one of those people! Subaru makes the perfect car for you!

Get out of here old man! Go shake your cane at some clouds or something.

“Better Product” is a HIGHLY subjective term. FYI. I would personally never ever ever want to own a CVT Subaru. I’ve driven a couple and they universally are awful. Even the last 5MT impreza (2012-ish model I believe) was a completely subpar car, across the board.

Are you blind? Serious question.

Except here in the US, all we’ll get, if we even get the Sportback, is a 2.0t with a Tiptronic.
