Am I strange in that I really dislike Alex Roy? He just strikes me as the type of dude who unironically goes to Dorians on the Upper East Side to hang out with his hedge fund buddies...
Yes. Yes you are.
The amusing part is they had room to complete the pass. They just had an exceeding poor sense of spatial awareness and probably freaked out because this lack of awareness made them misjudge their closing speed on the bus and whatnot.
See heres the thing, in a perfectly working engine those long intervals are just fine. But when you have High pressure fuel pumps failing and diluting the oil, or plastic coolant bits failing and leaking coolant everywhere, or turbos failing and mixing oil and coolant and dumping it through the exhaust and cat, then…
Thankfully my particular car doesn’t have the issue though it burns plenty of oil (1qt/1400 miles). The one problem with catch cans is they require emptying a lot and in the winter can freeze solid and block up the PCV completely causing more serious issues. I actually have a catch can, though, I just havent bothered…
This. However one nit to pick. My Audi’s have generally had pretty terrible PCV systems. My 1.8t actually had teh best one despite it being the most overly complex. With some more durable aftermarket parts it was reliable as hell. Both my current 2.0ts have had recalled PCVs (the latest being on my q5 which may or may…

Well thats the trick isn’t it?
Rather than ask what the negatives of your dumb idea are, ask what the positives are. The positives are....loud noises?
I’m not sure unique is the descriptor I would have used, but sure we’ll just go with it I suppose...
Rather than go after these nitwits (the doctors should google the Streisand Effect), they should sue the states and/or counties that don’t MANDATE that grieveously awful shit like this be illegal. It still boggles my mind that in a very large majority of counties in this vast country of ours, we don’t have any sort of…
“Practical buyers will most likely just opt for a Subaru Outback”
A shockingly level headed and considered answer from a goverment official?? This just blew my mind. I need to take a walk...
I appreciate the backup, man. Lord knows those fly balls are way too far over my head for me to even bother.
Damn. I suppose i need another cup of coffee. *Slinks away ashamed*
You’re joking right? This is quite literally how welding works...
