I don’t know man, I think donk culture deserves to be criticized, whether i fully understand it or not...
I posted elsewhere, it looks like a Buick, an Infiniti and a Jag had a love child.
“Good point, but we’re still going to slash them to bits with incisive and overly negative headlines EVERY. CHANCE. WE. GET. Watch the clicks roll in!”
Gross...
I should also state, my car was sort of kind of a special edition. 2004 A4 Ultrasport 1.8t 6MT. It was a silver sedan, so not super exciting, but special enough that forum goers would be more apt to appreciate it. It was marginally modified, APR 1+ tune, larger injectors and some durability mods like Kynar check…
The one and only car I’ve sold myself, I sold through a friend who I met on an enthusiast forum. I’d told some forum-friends i was putting it up for sale and my friend (lets call him Al) told his friend (lets call him Bob). Al then relayed to me his friend Bob really wanted it, asked me my asking, and said, cool thats…
I know its no longer in service, but this graphic NEEDS moar Tomcat!
I find this tabloid style coverage of Nouveau Top Gear that is CONSTANTLY on Jalopnik to be incredibly tiresome and fucking obnoxious. I hate that seeing these shitty, verging-on-clickbait, trying to drive traffic through social media type headlines are subconsciously tainting my view of not only Top Gear, but also of…
And 4 - 3 = ???
So I disagree with all the ‘Murican cars on here, because they’re all heinous. But everything else is a mild to emphatic “Yes”. Hell even those Subaru legacies I really like (despite the declaration in my username).
Except usually you’re saved by ESP. It would appear this genius turned it off, leading to this particular example of “What not to do”
I almost got hit by a flying queen sized mattress on the highway on my morning commute once when I was 19. I’m amazed I was able to continue wearing the same pants all day after that event. It was a near code brown for sure...
The first stick car I drove regularly was a 1998 Saab 9-3 SE. It was a mixed bag becase the clutch feel was terrible and the tranny did NOT like fast shifting. But I was also 17 and drove like an ass.
Haha. No but I hear they’re hiring exceptional talents like myself. Could be my ticket into the fast paced and exciting world of monkey wrenching!
I’m always worried after I work on it that the wheels are going to fall off. Even if I’ve just torqued them by hand to the proper spec.
I see no mention in the article about AWD. I would presume Volvo knows that AWD will be a necessity for this platform and has stuff in the pipeline, but any details on AWD in CMA? Also, Volvo, way to stack the deck in favor of the new architecture with that AWD SPA image vs FWD CMA image. Not really apples to apples…
Swedes in general do very disproportionately well here in Seattle. Saabs and Volvos in abundance!
I also shoot below EPA estimates. I get ~17-18mpg (more in summer, likely due to the winter gas dilution) in my 2.0t Audi. EPA says 20 city/28 highway. I can definitely hit the highway numbers, even cruising at 80-85mph (driving from Seattle, WA to Whitefish, MT presents you with some refreshingly high speed limits…
This. 10k isn’t too long when you use high quality synthetic and a good filter. Submit a oil sample Blackstone or a similar service and you’ll quickly realize you’re throwing money down the drain.
