Most would save themselves and their families first.

If people are outraged by their vehicles prioritizing themselves over others, maybe the automakers should give the user to control the prioritization. Like a drag and drop list where you put the most important group of people to save at the top. Then the car can

I got nailed with your last bullet point once. I bought a really nice slim personal CD player. Bought the extended warranty (3 or 4 years, IIRC). The player broke a few months shy of the warranty’s expiration. They held my unit for the full 60 days that they were allowed to before telling me they couldn’t fix it.

When

Don’t tell me what to do.

You can resell them, too. They retain a surprising amount of their value.

Absolutely. But being right doesn’t matter if you’re dead.

I thought it was common sense that if you wear dark clothes at night, you’re harder for motorists to see. I’m really surprised that this is being viewed as “victim blaming”. The poster in this article, to me, doesn’t look like anything more than reminder to be careful and make sure you can be seen.

The first “to” was probably supposed to be “go”.

Not illegal at all. In Canada, you can record any conversation you are a part of without consent of the other party (for personal/journalistic use). Outside of that, I’m not sure what the rules are.

Living in Atlantic Canada, all I could think was “There isn’t even any rust. Someone could use those parts!”. (We salt the shit out of our roads in the winter and our cars rot as a result)

Why not just put it aside until the next load?

Same here. I almost got caught by the 1-click which is turned on by default for amazon’s mobile app. I was browsing amazon while waiting in a parking lot for my gf to get off work and when we got home, I had an order confirmation email. Luckily the seller was nice enough to cancel my order which had already reached

I’m Canadian, too, and not having to worry about cost is fantastic. Wait times can kill a person, though, depending on what’s wrong with them.

While we're talking about attractions in New Brunswick that are misrepresented by their names, I feel I should point out that "Reversing Falls" in Saint John is also not what it sounds like.

I just took the SIM out of my old phone and put it into my new phone and it worked fine. No need to deal with Bell at all to get it working. I just wanted to update the phone that shows up when I log into my account, but not if they're going to make me change my plan. I can live with it that way for a few more months

I pay $75/month and I only get 1GB data, 200 minutes (outside my "fab 10" or what ever they call it), unlimited texting, and no service at my home which is less than 10 minutes from the city I'm closest to. When I got a new phone and tried to add the IMEI to my account using their website, they wanted me to switch to
