Does Forza count?

Ho lee sheet, was not expecting to ever even think about Buck Rogers in the 25th Century again. Wow. Nice deep callback.

Man alive, Camaros aren’t really my thing, but the 80s Camaro has always looked fantastic to me. Say, have you seen any in Deutschland? Or other random American imports?

This is the car for Ian McCollum of Forgotten Weapons. He likes old, weird, obsolete French machinery.

Y’all dumped on Dave Ramsey a couple months ago, but man, I think this guy needs a little Dave Ramsey.

I’d be mighty curious about the PHEV F150. Batteries only for the daily commute, V6 turbo (?) for heading out to hunting camp. Seems like an interesting combo.

I wish it was sponsored by Grey Poupon!

How do you do a handbrake turn with an electronic e-brake? (E-e-brake?) also, my 96 outback, manual transmission, had hill holder. I think my 86 Loyale did too.

I’ll take the Rav4 Prime PHEV any day over the all electric VW.  About the same price, Toyota reliability, Electric for most days, gas for road trips. Surprisingly capable on logging roads for trips to the trailheads.

Right I’m going to look at Bronco Sport when it’s time to replace my Rav4, but I’m not in a big enough hurry to order one.

When I read “these VM Motori engines are notorious for cracking their four individual cylinder heads“ I thought “Oooo... FORESHADOWING.” Good luck! I hope you can find at least one of the other Voyagers there, too.

Oh cool! Arnie has a 1st gen Highlander! I know it’s just a PR photo, but we had an 07 in hybrid trim. It was pretty great. The electric motors in the i4wd made it faster than any glorified mom minivan should be. 0-60 in like 6 seconds. Wonder how the hydrogen version there did.

That’s pretty much what I’d want in a Bimmer - the straight six and a manual. The AWD is a nice touch. But 260k is too many miles for $6,000. She’s about done. And she’s not the unicorn the seller think it is.

It might be because I wear glasses but I can’t stand a windshield I can’t see through. I spritz my windshield pretty much every morning (we live in a dusty area), I’ll stop to clean bugs even when I don’t need gas, and I wait about a minute in the rain. I borrowed a friends car for a 600 mile drive and bought new

I love that. Celica is what the FBRZ86 (Febreeze 86) should have been called all along

I’m with you and I’ll probably always have a beater truck for truck things. Is a $5000 paid off beater truck more expensive than renting a truck for hunting season, towing a boat, clearing the brush? At least for me the nearest rental is about 30 mins away, so there’s that hassle too.

Thanks for that report! The Cmax is often overlooked, but it’s on my short list for next cars. Unfortunately they’re pretty rare in my rural state. Another advantage- it doesn’t look like a Prius :-)

Maybe it’s because with my Rav4, I can put in two car seats, two labradors, the cooler, plus a bunch of crap in the torpedo on top, and still get 27 miles per gallon, in a rig that’ll pretty much just need oil changes and brake pads for 200,000 miles. No I don’t load all that up every day, but Its sure nice when I

Nailed it. PHEVs are totally the happy medium. A PHEV truck I can commute in on electrons, and then the gas takes over when I’m in the sticks. I’m sold. Can’t take a Chevy Volt out to deer camp.

Nah these things were total pieces of sheisse. Or maybe it was just my brothers’ high school version that was a bucket. $11 large is crazy.
