I think you’ve got to take in a holistic view. If the seller is someone who’s broke and needs money, and has a history of poor financial decisions despite no major moral failings, maybe is just slow or in mental decline, then it’s wrong to take too good of a deal. This is really cool. Stronger concrete, especially around seawater, would really benefit society, and that it comes from a lost technique is fascinating.

The video of that traffic jam in India is just nuts. There’s something fundamentally wrong that they haven’t organized reasonable traffic direction, not even talking about flow but they’re all going in different directions with some on a collision course. Holy crap.

Used police cars I’d consider removing the interior and replace the carpet if it’s easy enough/available. I’ve seen some stuff in Uber’s, a cop car I can only imagine.

The devil will be in the details on this one. Speakers as we know them are standardized, reliable, and fairly cheap. If your headliner is rattling or not giving good bass response, that’s a little different than replacing a bad speaker, or remanufacturing a part as an OEM. Simplicity has benefits.
